Actor and wellness entrepreneur, Hugh Jackman, has become a global ambassador for nutrition supplement company AG1, formerly known as Athletic Greens.
He will front the company’s global campaign called Good Morning, Hugh, to market the use of the brand’s supplements in the mornings as part of a wellbeing ritual that ‘sets the tone for the day.’
Jackman has been a strategic investor in AG1 since 2021 and has incorporated AG1’s Daily Health Drink into his diet for more than five years. His doctor recommended he take the product, which has a blend of vitamins, probiotics, antioxidants and superfoods. It has since become a part of his routine to support his energy, gut health and immune system.
Jackman said: “I’ve been drinking AG1 for years because it’s an easy way to take care of myself. It fits into my life wherever I am and it’s become part of my morning that I don’t really have to think about – which is exactly why it works. I’m excited to help more people find a health routine that works for them.”
The campaign will include a 30-second video of Jackman waking early and tap dancing – due to a surge in energy after drinking AG1’s formula – annoying his downstairs neighbours.
There will also be a series of short-form videos for social media and a documentary-style interview with Jackman about his approach to health, food and nutrition.
Kat Cole, CEO, AG1, said: “While there’s only one Hugh Jackman, what he values reflects what we hear from millions of AG1 drinkers around the world: when you invest in your nutrition consistently, it changes how you feel and what you’re capable of.
Jackman will also support AG1’s non-profit partner in the US, No Kid Hungry. This organisation helps to ensure children have access to three healthy meals a day through school meal programmes, community initiatives and policy change. AG1 has supported the organisation since 2019.
AG1 was established under the name Athletic Greens in 2010 and became AG1 in 2021. The company operates a direct-to-consumer model, operating as a fully remote company on a global scale. The company’s flagship product is called AG1 Next Gen and features vitamins, minerals and plant compounds.
Hugh Jackman is also an investor in the Australian property called Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat. Last year, Spa Business reported Jackman could remain an investor amid a plan to sell the property by the majority owner, Tony de Leede.
