A native South Dakota has returned home to start a nutritional drink shop.
Stacey Blenderman is opening Sippin’ 605 Nutrition, a shop selling beverages made with Herbalife products.
She’s planning to open the new store March 7 in the former Josephine’s Floral Designery shop in The Wedge on Western, just south of 69th Street.

Blenderman said Herbalife shops are independently owned, “so even though you use the Herbalife products, we each have different ways to make them. Ours are colorful and flavorful.”
The Sippin’ 605 menu will include loaded teas, protein shakes, iced coffees with protein and snacks “designed to support active lifestyles.”

Blenderman is originally from Jefferson and still has grandparents and other relatives living in the state. She lived in Sioux Falls in her early 20s but most recently had been living in Kansas, working in operations in the aviation industry. Blenderman said she was ready for “a new adventure.”
She considered starting an Herbalife shop in Omaha or Sioux Falls but said she was drawn here because of family and a better tax environment.
As a former Diet Mt. Dew drinker, she said she knows the benefits of getting energy through nutritional drinks instead caffeine.
“Those are not very healthy for you, and the difference about these is you don’t crash after drinking them.”

Hours for Sippin’ 605 Nutrition at 6221 S. Western Ave. will be 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Follow the business on Facebook for updates.
