The line is aptly called SEASON34, which reflects the 34 common symptoms surrounding this life transition, emphasizing menopause as a positive change rather than an ending.
“The name season implies change and implies movement and adaptation and now it’s well known that there are 34 common symptoms and signs surrounding perimenopause and menopause,” said Rojas Stanbury.
Dr. Stanbury explained that menopause involves 34+ symptoms, with most people only associating menopause with hot flashes, which actually last only 3 to 8 years, but women experience a variety of symptoms across mood, bone health, beauty and sleep that can persist for decades.
With that mind, the duo developed nine targeted formulations by analyzing these symptoms and their underlying biological mechanisms rather than following trends. With the average woman experiencing about 12 symptoms simultaneously, personalized treatment becomes essential, especially for those who cannot or choose not to use hormone replacement therapy.
“We looked at the 34 symptoms and what we did is we focused on the biology,” Rojas Stanbury said. “Once we determined the biological mechanisms that were altered, we were able to cluster the symptoms. Once we clustered the symptoms, then that’s how the nine clusters became obvious to us, and that, in turn, allowed us to do the research in a more focused way, looking for ingredients that were standardized and clinical studies that were evaluating those particular clusters of symptoms.”
With more well-designed clinical trials emerging, Dr. Stanbury noted that medical attitudes toward dietary supplements have shifted positively. The product innovation combines Rojas Stanbury’s vendor connections and ingredient sourcing expertise with Dr. Stanbury’s medical knowledge to validate ingredients and determine optimal dosages. In particular, they emphasize probiotics and the gut microbiome connection to menopause symptoms—a foundation that Dr. Stanbury said many women overlook.
With the line officially launched, Rojas Stanbury said the focus now is on education, personalization in menopausal care and collecting real-world data to support outcomes—all while keeping women first.
