RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – For nearly three decades, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has brought the campus and community together to celebrate health, wellness and connection through an event designed to be fun, accessible, hands-on and engaging.

The university will hold its annual Student Wellness Fair on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Surbeck Center’s Beck Ballroom. This year’s theme, Adventure Awaits, invites attendees to explore hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities inspired by outdoor recreation, including canoeing, kayaking, camping and hiking.

The outdoor-themed fair has more than 40 wellness-focused vendors from campus and the Rapid City community offering resources, activities and information alongside thousands of dollars in prizes, giveaways and gifts donated by participating organizations.

The public is invited to the event, which is co-sponsored by the South Dakota Mines Student Wellness Committee, the Mines Counseling Office and Monument Health.
