The Minneapolis NAACP is inviting the community to gather for an intentional afternoon of reflection, restoration, and empowerment at its 2026 Black Love, Self Love wellness experience.
Set for Saturday, Feb. 21, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the ECMN Building in Minneapolis, the event centers on the theme “Black Love Starts with Self Love,” encouraging participants to prioritize holistic wellness as a foundation for stronger families and communities.
Organizers describe the gathering as a curated space dedicated to nurturing the most important relationship individuals will ever have, the one with themselves. By focusing on personal healing and intentional self-care, the event aims to celebrate the brilliance, resilience, and joy of the Black community.
Six Pillars of Wellness
The afternoon will highlight six essential pillars designed to support whole-person well-being:
Food through nutrition awareness
Feelings and mental health
Fitness through movement
Fulfillment through hobbies and creativity
Finance and economic empowerment
Physical health and faith
Together, these pillars create a framework for participants to nourish their minds, bodies, and spirits while strengthening their sense of purpose and connection.
While the program is geared toward young adults, attendees of all ages are welcome. Organizers note that childcare will not be provided.
The event reflects the Minneapolis NAACP’s continued commitment to advancing community well-being, equity, and empowerment through education, advocacy, and engagement.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
