Green Lumber Holding has updated a consumer alert for counterfeit dietary supplements containing an undeclared prescription drug that were sold using the company’s legitimate packaging.
The company issued the updated alert on Feb. 13, 2026, to clarify that only products with the lot number LOT308EXP03/28 are affected. The company said this is not one of its authentic lot numbers, and consumers should immediately discard any product bearing that number.
The alert follows a recall from Aug. 28, 2025, initiated after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found tadalafil in products labeled as Green Lumber. Tadalafil is the active ingredient in the prescription drug Cialis and is not an ingredient in any authentic Green Lumber product.
The drug can cause life-threatening side effects, such as dangerously low blood pressure, for individuals taking nitrates or certain medications for heart disease and high blood pressure.
Legitimate Green Lumber products have the lot numbers LOTGL0130151EXP0926, GL01EXP09/27 and LOT GL110725 EXP110727, which are not part of the recall.
An internal investigation discovered that a company employee had “misappropriated legitimate packaging and customer information to distribute counterfeit or adulterated products.” The company said it has since terminated that employee.
“Consumer safety is our number one priority,” said Brett Hales, the company’s president. “We acted swiftly after the FDA’s testing identified tadalafil in a product labeled as ours… we have strengthened our safeguards to protect customers and ensure this does not happen again.”
Customers who experience unexpected side effects should seek medical care. Suspected counterfeit products can be reported to Green Lumber at 949-426-8622 or consumer-safety@greenlumber.com.
