Superior Public Library can help you improve your health and wellness with free classes that are great for your mind and body. Join instructor Jen Rosnau for a free mat-based yoga class on Feb. 21 or come to Chair Yoga on Feb. 28. Both classes start at 10:30 a.m. and are for ages 12 and up. On Feb. 27, instructors from the YMCA will lead a Mindful Motion class for older adults at 10:15 a.m. No registration required and no experience necessary.

Enjoy a free movie at the library. On Feb. 23 we’ll show “Superman” (2025). This movie is rated PG-13. Join us March 9 for “Roofman” and March 23 for “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.” Both movies are rated R. All movies start at 6 p.m. and closed captions will be enabled.

Join us Feb. 26 at 1 p.m. for our next Senior Planet presentation, “Mindfulness Apps,” where we’ll talk about the physical and mental benefits of practicing mindfulness, learn about popular apps that teach breathing and meditation techniques, and explore new technology like wearable breath monitors and smart yoga mats. Join us at the library on Feb. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for our next Memory Cafe. Memory cafes are held at the library the last Wednesday of each month and are a partnership with the ADRC of Douglas County. They’re designed for people experiencing memory loss and their caregivers to have a positive, safe place to gather and enjoy a hands-on activity. No registration is required.

The library has a Lego Club especially for homeschoolers. Join us for our next Homeschool Lego Club on Feb. 26 from 2-4 p.m. and build something awesome out of Lego bricks while spending time with other homeschooling families. No registration required.

Are you a tween or teen who loves writing? Join us at the library for our Tween & Teen Writing Club on Mondays from 6-7 p.m. and enjoy writing/brainstorming games, short lessons on effective writing skills, and plenty of time to share your writing. This group is led by writer/educator Karen Christian and no registration is required.

February is Library Lover’s Month, and you can tell us why you love the library for a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card. Submit your “library love story” at the library or use the online submission form and you’ll be entered into the prize drawing. The contest ends Feb. 28.
