FS8, a fitness concept combining Pilates, tone and yoga modalities, will be coming to Severna Park this spring, Baltimore-area real estate agency Continental Realty Corp. announced.
Franchise owners Gina Barton and Jennifer Bergman signed a lease with CRC for 5,077 square feet of space at Park Plaza, a shopping center located at 550 Ritchie Highway. The FS8 Severna Park studio will mark the opening of the fitness concept’s third location in the greater Baltimore metropolitan region, joining Canton (Baltimore City) and Timonium.
The studio is expected to open this spring, according to a release. Barton and Bergman, both Anne Arundel County residents, plan to open more locations locally.
“FS8 brings a low-impact, high-energy workout to Severna Park, offering an efficient, instructor-led experience that supports strength, mobility, and overall wellness,” CRC executive Kristina O’Keefe said.
“It is a great addition for the community, expanding convenient wellness options close to home and giving residents another reason to make Park Plaza part of their weekly routine. FS8 also fits naturally alongside tenants like Stretch Zone, Smoothie King, and Prime IV, helping create a wellness-focused destination that drives steady daily traffic.”
An abbreviation for functional style and the eight key elements of a meaningful workout (cardio, mobility, posture, coordination, resistance, mental health, balance and flexibility), FS8 facilitates 50-minute sessions designed for all fitness levels.
FS8 will join more than 50 other tenants at Park Plaza, which features a mix of restaurants, medical offices, professional and financial services, and sports and fitness retailers.
“Park Plaza was a natural choice for us. It is a place we already frequent and a hub for the community,” Bergman said. “We wanted FS8 to be a part of a center where people already gather, connect and support local businesses.”
