TULSA, Okla. –
A Tulsa woman is helping residents take their workouts to new heights through aerial arts.
Kamrynn Holmes opened Zeta Aerial Arts and Fitness in October 2025, creating a space where people can try something new while building strength and confidence.
“Aerial arts is something I’m really passionate about. I’ve been doing it for ten plus years, and it was something that Tulsa didn’t have, and so I created this environment because I wanted there to be like a nice, inclusive space to try something new,” Holmes said.
The studio offers a mix of aerial arts and fitness classes using apparatuses such as aerial sling, silks and lollipop hoops. Holmes said clients can choose between a traditional aerial experience or a workout-focused session.
“So we do aerial as an art form, but we also offer like fitness classes more, so if you’re more interested in just getting like a full body workout, we do that with the apparatuses like aerial sling, silks, lollipop,” she said.
Holmes said students can explore the graceful and elegant style often associated with performances like those seen in Cirque du Soleil, or focus on fitness and strength building.
“So you can kind of learn to do both, and you can kind of choose if you’d like it to be more of like a classic aerial experience or if you want it more to just be like a fun workout experience,” Holmes said.
Her introduction to aerial arts started about 10 years ago after an unsuspecting introduction.
“I actually started because my mom had a Groupon to a class back ten years ago, and she thought it would be fun, and so I went with her,” she said.
One of the most common questions Holmes hears is whether beginners need to be strong before trying a class.
“So one of the most frequently asked questions we get it do I have to have strength to start? And the answer is no, absolutely not. We are basically like a gym, so you don’t need strength to start going to the gym; you build the strength while you’re there,” she said.
Holmes said the studio is designed to be welcoming and supportive for everyone, whether they are attending alone or with friends.
“It’s truly so much fun, and everybody in here is so nice and supportive, and so you’re, you’re trying something new and doing stuff that you didn’t think you could do, and then everybody’s cheering you o,n and it’s so much fun, so I think everybody feels empowered when they leave,” she said.
In addition to regular classes, Zeta Aerial Arts and Fitness offers aerial-themed parties, including birthdays, bachelorette celebrations, girls’ night out events and other group gatherings.
People can sign up for classes and find membership information on the studio’s website, zetaaerialfitness.com.
