ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) — Attorney’s of Chelsea Ingino, who was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Involuntary Manslaughter from a May 27, 2025, incident leading to a death, filed a lack of mental fitness in a preliminary hearing.

Ingino’s attorney, Michelle Carpenter, filed the document to proceed in deciding what happens to Ingino from the 2025 incident.

The filing said Ingino suffered a severe traumatic brain injury during the wrong-way crash.

Documents also detailed that Ingino was unable to care for herself and that she cannot accurately reflect on the incident, while also suffering from a lack of emotional regulation.

The filing also stated that the prosecution and defense are seeking ways to proceed.  

Ingino is facing multiple counts, including DWI, Involuntary Manslaughter, Serious Physical Injury and Driving Wrong Direction, resulting in an accident.
