Ahead of her 60th birthday, Crawford spoke about all things beauty with InStyle, noting that these days, she’s all about a “less is more” approach, a lesson she learned from her mom and hopes to pass down to her kids: “You want people to think you look great—not your makeup, she shares exclusively with InStyle. Naturally, as a brand founder, her beauty routine takes a skin first, makeup second approach, and she’s proof of the power of accepting aging gracefully. “Beauty is confidence; it’s being the best version of yourself, and not focusing solely on how your skin and body change with age, because of course they do,” she notes.

I asked Crawford if she’d still use any beauty products from her early modeling days and she said she “wouldn’t say no” to Maybelline’s Big mascara and MAC’s Spice Lip Liner.
