Key Points

Three million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice were recalled in U.S. and Canada.

Supplements linked to a Salmonella outbreak have been recalled internationally.

Frozen meatballs and salmon have also been recalled for contaminations this week.

From frozen staples to over-the-counter supplements, there are a few new recalls you should know about right now. The products affected were sold at retail locations and/or online across the U.S. Here’s what you need to know, and if you have a recalled product on hand, dispose of it immediately or contact your place of purchase for a refund.

Chicken Fried Rice

There’s a recall on over 3.3 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice products, according to a recent announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The two products affected are Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice and Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice sold in Canada and the U.S., respectively. They each contain establishment number “P-18356” on their packaging. The best-by dates on the recalled frozen rice run from September 8 through November 17, 2026.

This recall was followed by four consumer reports of glass fragments being found in the products. There are no illnesses or injuries connected to this recall, but contact a healthcare provider with any concerns.

Frozen Meatballs

Aldi and the FSIS announced a recall on 32-ounce packages of frozen meatballs sold at the grocery store nationwide. Approximately 9,462 pounds of product has been affected.

The 64-count packages of fully cooked, frozen Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs have a best-by date of “10/30/26” with timestamps between 17:08 through 18:20 printed on the back label. The recalled products also contain an establishment number “EST. 4286B” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

This recall was a result from a consumer complaint of finding metal fragments in the meatballs. There are currently no reported illnesses or injuries due to this contamination.

Moringa Powder Supplements

Bought supplements online lately? Check your cabinets, because a brand of moringa powder capsules are being recalled due to their connection to a Salmonella outbreak.

Rosabella moringa powder capsules with impacted expiration dates through November 2027 are affected. These supplements were sold on e-commerce sites, including eBay, TikTok Shop, Amazon and Shein to consumers internationally. As of the latest U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) report, there have been seven illnesses, including three hospitalizations in connection to this recall.

Symptoms of Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) can start from six hours to six days after infection, lasting up to seven days. If you are experiencing any of the following signs of foodborne illness after consuming the recalled supplements, consult with a healthcare professional: diarrhea, stomach cramps, headache, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite.

Salmon

Two-pound packages of salmon sold at BJ’s Wholesale Club locations in seven states have been recalled, according to the FDA. This is due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The salmon affected is Wellsley Farms Farm-Raised Atlantic Salmon sold from January 31 through February 7, 2026, with UPC “888670025963,” lot code “3896” and printed best-by date of June 30, 2027, printed on the packaging. The recalled fish was sold in the following states: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Listeria infection (listeriosis) can be severe for those age 65 or older, immunocompromised, pregnant and for young children. Common symptoms include nausea, vomiting, fever, stomach cramps and diarrhea—for more serious cases, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions can occur. Contact a healthcare professional if you are experiencing any signs of listeriosis after eating the recalled salmon.

Turmeric Supplements

A mold contamination has caused a popular brand of turmeric supplements to be recalled, per the FDA. The recall impacts 30 states.

About 42,740 bottles of Qunol Extra Strength Turmeric (1,000-milligram) are affected. The 60-count and 120-count bottles impacted contain UPCs “850184008428” and “850184008435,” respectively.
