Wellness influencer Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura has died after undergoing an IVF procedure. She was 31.
Brazilian website G1 reported that Santos de Moura’s family confirmed she died on Tuesday, February 24, due to complications from the operation. Her cousin, Nahiza Monteles, told the outlet that she went into cardiorespiratory arrest at a private clinic in São Paulo.
Santos de Moura was transferred to a hospital and remained there for eight days while in a coma, according to G1. Monteles told the outlet that the family authorized the donation of her organs.
Santos de Moura, who had more than 7,000 followers on Instagram, married Samuel Moura in 2018. She died one day after their eighth wedding anniversary.

Santos de Moura’s family member Enilson Campelo de Carvalho paid tribute to the influencer in an Instagram video while sharing a compilation of photos and videos through the years.
“Gabi, life was never small for you,” he wrote in the caption, translated to English. “Today the world became a little quieter; we lost a great friend, godmother, therapist, family member! Those who knew Gabi know she lived everything intensely. They say life is short, but Gabi proved that life can be immense if we have the courage to pursue our dreams. She said she would do something and she did it; nothing was left for later.”
He continued, “Who else would have the courage to run 10 km at -10°C, in the early morning hours of a country where no one spoke her language? She wanted a new experience every week; she lived intensely. You were our meeting point. Our intersection that brought together the people from Piauí lost in São Paulo.”
He went on to add a message seemingly directed toward Santos de Moura’s husband. “Samuel, my brother, I ask and pray to God that He gives you strength to endure so much pain. We will all be together with you, helping you face all this, just as Gabi taught us,” he concluded. “Rest in peace, Gabi.”

Santos de Moura’s friend Camilla Guimarães also honored her by sharing a series of photos of the pair through the years.
“Today she’s gone…💔,” she wrote via Instagram, translated to English. “At first I felt indignation… I miss her sweetness, her unconditional love, her true friendship so much… we were planning to have an Aperol by the pool… Then I understood that God knows what He’s doing. A being of light doesn’t stay in one place for long; they need to help humanity through the various dimensions that exist, and Gabi is certainly part of that. ✨.”

She continued, “I’ve already talked about her here… my inspiration in training, self-care, self-knowledge. My mindfulness teacher, my fan, yes, because she always lifted you up and applauded you as if you were the most special person in the world. And I feel that way too, very special that the universe put her in my path so I could enjoy a little bit of this beautiful woman inside and out.”
She noted that Santos de Moura will be “watching over all the women she helped” last year through her project, @timedeninjas, which is described as a “community for women who want to care for their mind, body, and spirit.”
“Gabi, my beautiful girl… I will miss you so much… you are kept safe in my heart and I think of you every day because of your teachings and affection,” she concluded. “Rest in peace! 🙏🏻🤍.”
