The Napoleon Area City Schools Board of Education recently approved numerous personnel items, including hiring a nutrition supervisor.

A supervisory contract was extended to Rechelle Bischoff for the nutrition supervisor position, effective March 23 and continuing through June 30, 2028. She will replace food services supervisor Jennifer Conner, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Bischoff is a 2006 graduate of Napoleon High School and has a master’s degree in food and nutrition from Bowling Green State University.

“I actually am a registered dietitian and licensed in the State of Ohio, and became a dietitian as a second career,” Bischoff said, adding she has a digital media background. “I have a master’s in food nutrition, and absolutely love to talk about food and work with food … anything that involves food and nutrition, that is absolutely my passion.”

The board also approved the additional column of nutrition supervisor to the administrative salary schedule. Bischoff will begin at step six, which is $64,348 per year.

In other personnel matters, the board approved the employment of Brylee Bressler as a building aide at the elementary school, effective Feb. 9, for four hours per day. She replaces Heather Gallagher, who transferred to a different aide position.

The board accepted the resignation of bus driver Chad Kruse, effective Feb. 28. The employment of Justin Young was approved as a bus plus employee, effective Feb. 17. His subsequent transfer from bus plus to bus driver was approved, effective Feb. 19, to fill Kruse’s position.

The following resignations were also accepted: Tina Hensley, custodian at the elementary school, effective Feb. 19; Kim Bingham as varsity cheerleading coach, effective May 1; Andrea Hoffman, junior high cross country coach, effective Feb. 2; an Beth Speiser, junior high cheerleading coach, effective May 31.

Athletic coaches approved for the 2025-26 school year included: Chad Rupp, varsity assistant softball coach; Tyler Swary, junior high boys track head coach; Alex Glassford, junior high girls track head coach; Denine Cramer, junior high boys track assistant coach; and Delaney Plummer, junior high girls track assistant coach.

•Approved Family Medical Leave Act requests for the following: Stacy Eberle, beginning Jan. 5 and continuing intermittently up to 12 weeks; Sandra Long, beginning March 6 and continuing up to 12 weeks; Terri Haase, beginning March 22 and and continuing up to 12 weeks; Kody King, beginning March 11 and continuing up to 12 weeks; Kristin Hartford, beginning approximately May 9 and continuing up to 12 weeks; and Sara Gilson, beginning approximately June 16 and continuing up to 12 weeks.

•Approved the termination of Melissa Norden, lunchroom worker at the elementary school, effective Feb. 13.

•Approved Chris Delfavero as athletic tournament/game help for the 2025-26 school year.

•Approved supplemental contracts for the 2025-26 school year for Jeremy Desgrange. One is for high school physical fitness supervisor and one is high school physical fitness.

•Approved the following as Camp Palmer instructors for the 2025-26 school year: Glassford; Jason Seiler; Allyson Hendricks; Jennifer Seiler; Sarah Rosebrock; and Calista Warncke.

•Approved participating students and the following staff/chaperones to attend the high school band trip from March 12-16 to Boston: Breanna Davis, Heather Gallagher, Amber Hazel, Brad Imthurn, Jennifer Imthurn, Andrew Lesick, Russell Roth and Scott Steward.
