BIG SKY, Mt. — Big Sky residents in Madison and Gallatin counties are facing a major decision this May that could shape the future of local healthcare.
Voters will consider creating a Big Sky hospital and wellness district in a community-led initiative that would levy property taxes to fund local healthcare facilities.
Supporters say the goal is to make health and wellness services accessible for everyone, regarding county lines, travel distance, or cost.
Community leaders encourage residents to attend voter education events this March and April before casting their vote.
The first event is scheduled for March 4 at the BASE Community Center and Gym from 5:15 to 7 p.m.
