The Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) Family Academy will host a Summer Resource and Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 7, at the Shepherd Community Center to help families and teens prepare for a safe and productive summer.

This free event provides students in pre-K through 12th grade and families with information about local summer resources, camps, fitness programs, teen employment opportunities, parent and guardian resources and summer safety information.

Families attending the fair can learn about various safe summer opportunities available from organizations such as Indiana University, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and the Indy Public Safety Foundation .

The fair will include a variety of fitness activities to provide attendees with engaging games and creative workouts. Fitness sessions will feature activities such as chiropractic adjustments, sound baths, line dancing and chair massages.

All resources and activities are free and open to IPS families. Attendees must register online through the IPS website. The Shepherd Community Center is located at 4107 E. Washington St.
