Dr. Liz Placzek visited KARE 11 News at Noon on Thursday to talk about the importance of wellness checkups.
MINNEAPOLIS — Wellness checkups can be key for catching any health problems with your child.
Dr. Liz Placzek, a pediatrician at Children’s Minnesota, visited KARE 11 News at Noon on Thursday to share more.
Parents should schedule a couple wellness checkups per year for young children, Placzek said. The checkups are time for doctors to make sure children’s growth, development, nutrition, sleep and mood are in good condition.
Once your child reaches teen years, Placzek recommended that parents still book at least one checkup per year.
