NEW ROCHELLE, NY — There’s a lot going on in New Rochelle this month, but one event might just change your life.

The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle will host a free Community Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 21. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Remington Clubhouse, located at 1 Remington Place, in New Rochelle. Westchester County and Greater Hudson Valley The Links, Inc. are presenting the expo.

The Community Wellness Expo aims to increase awareness of personal health and provide local health resources. It will offer on-site services in an accessible location. Co-sponsors for the event include Colgate, Black K.A.R.E., Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, Montefiore New Rochelle, and Grow! Eat.

Attendees can access a variety of wellness services. These include vision, blood pressure, and diabetes screenings, as well as mammograms and CPR demonstrations. Health education workshops will also be available. Sessions will cover chronic kidney disease education, children’s oral health information, eldercare and Medicare guidance, estate and financial planning, and voter registration.

The expo will also feature interactive activities for families. These activities include a children’s fun zone, cooking demonstrations, exercise activities, music, entertainment, and special guest appearances. Free refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Becky Mazzanobile, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, said, “Our goal is to make health resources accessible and approachable for the entire community.” Mazzanobile added, “We are proud to partner with numerous local wellness and civic organizations to bring trusted services and expertise directly to families. By offering these resources in a welcoming environment, we hope to remove barriers and connect residents to information and support that can make a lasting difference.”

Pre-registration for the event is requested, though walk-ins are welcome. The Remington Clubhouse offers a conveniently located parking garage and nearby mass transit options.
