Life Scan Wellness Centers, a national leader in preventive health screenings for firefighters and first responders, recently announced a new partnership with South Carolina Firefighters Insurance Services, LLC to support the health and wellness of firefighters across South Carolina.
The partnership was approved following a vote of support from the South Carolina Firefighters Insurance Services committee and represents a shared commitment to improving firefighter health outcomes through early detection, education, and coordinated access to wellness resources.
Through this collaboration, Life Scan Wellness Centers and South Carolina Firefighters Insurance Services will work together to provide departments across the state with enhanced access to preventive health screening information, wellness resources, and direct points of contact for scheduling and program support.
“Firefighters face unique occupational health risks, and early detection is critical to protecting those who protect our communities,” said Todd LeDuc, CEO of Life Scan Wellness Centers and retired Fire Chief. “We are honored to partner with South Carolina Firefighters Insurance Services to help ensure firefighters throughout South Carolina have access to the preventive health services and information they need to stay healthy throughout their careers and into retirement.”
As part of the partnership rollout, informational resources—including an infographic outlining available services and key contact information—will be distributed to fire departments statewide. The organizations are also collaborating on updated website resources that will provide departments with easy access to program information and direct contact channels for scheduling and support.
“Partnerships like this are essential to advancing firefighter health and safety,” LeDuc added. “We appreciate the leadership and commitment shown by the South Carolina Firefighters Insurance Services team and look forward to working together to support the firefighters of South Carolina.” Additional information about the partnership and available wellness services will be shared with fire departments in the coming weeks.
