Rita Ora’s morning routine starts with a carefully curated supplement stack designed to keep her performing at her best. ‘I do my green powder thing. Shake that up,’ the singer, songwriter, actor and now Women’s Health April cover star explains. ‘Throw in some creatine and vitamin D oil. Then I do my vitamin C and collagen together – collagen doesn’t react without a good vitamin C.’
Micronutrients and minerals weren’t always a priority. But when the seemingly endless energy that carried her through countless shows in her twenties began to fade, the ‘Hot Right Now’ hitmaker realised something had to change if she wanted to stay healthy while touring.
‘I realised I needed to start treating my body like I’m a kind of athlete,’ she says. That shift sparked a deeper interest in wellness when she turned 30. Soon, she found herself diving into podcasts, journals and online research, searching for ways to optimise her nutrition and daily habits.
Supplements were the starting point. ‘Adaptogens, like lion’s mane and ashwagandha and adding collagen to my coffee,’ she says were among her early discoveries.

Over time, her routine expanded to include other nutrient-rich staples such as bone broth and electrolytes, both of which she prepares herself. Hydration also plays a key role. ‘It wakes me up like that,’ she says of the litre of water with lemon and salt she drinks first thing each morning.
From there, she began experimenting with meal timing, creating a 12-16 hour eating window by delaying breakfast and eating dinner earlier in the evening. ‘Fasting changed everything for me – my toilet habits, my brain function, my sleep,’ she reveals.
It’s a stark contrast to her twenties, when her rapid rise to the top of the charts left little time to build routines or prioritise recovery. ‘There wasn’t, let’s call it, a “routine”, in place,’ she recalls.
Now, however, those habits form the backbone of her day. ‘My happy place is following my routine.’
