OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha City Council has unanimously approved plans to expand services for the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska.

The approval grants a special use permit for the tribe to build a new health and wellness center. The space would include a community gathering space, a transportation center and a cultural building.

The facility would serve Ponca Tribe members as well as other Native Americans and non-Native residents.
