MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — The Ms. Corporate America Maryland pageant will take place on Saturday. President of the organization Alethia Tucker and current Ms. Corporate America, Sierra Morgan, joined 7News to talk women in business.
“It’s all about celebrating these women, the Queens, 11 of them representing various counties across Maryland, celebrating them, recognizing them for their achievements and what they’re doing in business across different sectors,” said Tucker.
The organization also aims to help women in the workplace.
“One of the things that we’re really proud of is the fact that many of our women come together and bid on contracts for business, in the government, in the private sector, we connect them with people who are going to help them to make those inroads, help them to understand what it’s like to establish businesses,” said Tucker.
“My platform was caregiver advocacy. And, you know, that’s something I’ve been very passionate about and doing for 16 years,” said Morgan.
