Natural glam may have been de rigueur for numerous fashion labels, but beauty looks started getting spicier on Paris’ runways that displayed fall 2026 women’s ready-to-wear collections. A notable few paraded particularly wild and wonderful creations.

At Comme des Garçons, the gravity-defying hair appeared to be felted. Junya Watanabe’s models had inky tear-stained peepers and cheeks. Intrecciato tresses morphed into animal shapes at Noir Kei Ninomiya, while at Yohji Yamamoto, hair was lace-like 3D sculptures and makeup comprised of random black lines.

A few McQueen models’ faces came sheathed in masks — one was of plastic and looked real life but cracking. Another was spangled with multicolored flower-shaped embroideries. Models walking the Rick Owens show seemed otherworldly; some had fluorescent eyelashes and highlights on their faces. Others featured red-and-black spikes poking from ears with matching fingernails.

Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, Kiko Kostadinov, Kobi Halperin and Reverie by Caroline Hú were among other fashion labels conjuring up notably imaginative beauty.
