For years, wellness-focused communities have been associated with luxury living—often with million-dollar price tags that put healthier homes out of reach for many buyers.
Jubilee in Hockley, developed by Johnson Development, is changing that. As Texas’s first wellness master-planned community, it’s making healthier living accessible for all.

Homes designed for real life
Jubilee offers homes from nine builders with costs ranging from homes from under $300,000 to over $1 million. Sizes range from 1,600 to over 5,600 square feet, with lots from 28 to 80 feet, giving buyers options to fit their needs.
This variety allows first-time buyers and growing families to find a home that fits their needs—without sacrificing the wellness features that make Jubilee unique.
Wellness in every home
What truly sets Jubilee apart is that wellness is built into every home. Standard features include:
Reverse osmosis water filtrationAdvanced air purification systemsCircadian rhythm lighting packages that support natural sleep cyclesSmart home automation and security technology“In Jubilee, all homes have healthier features,” said Haley Peck, vice president of marketing at Johnson Development. “Whether you buy a $290,000 or a $1 million home, you get the same focus on healthier living.”

WELL-certified homes
When Jubilee’s first 125 homes earned WELL for Residential certification in October, it gave buyers something rare: independent proof that their home supports their health.
The certification from the International WELL Building Institute verifies that homes meet rigorous standards for air quality, water systems, lighting and construction practices—all designed to improve well-being. Only a handful of communities nationwide have achieved it, and Jubilee is the only one in Texas.
“It was important to have a third party verify everything we were doing,” Peck said. “It proves to people that this isn’t just a marketing concept; we genuinely are creating healthier spaces.”
Wellness beyond the front door
While the homes prioritize health, Jubilee’s broader community plan sets it apart. The neighborhood is organized around four wellness zones:
Exploration zones immerse residents in natureConnection zones encourage social interactionInspiration zones spark imagination and creativityReflection zones offer quiet moments for relaxationThese spaces support everything from solo reflection to family play to neighborhood connection.
“Jubilee is about creating balance for people to find their needed space,” Peck said. “Wellness looks different for everyone, and Jubilee provides options for all lifestyles—making it a community made for you.”
The community hosts over 75 events yearly through a full-time director of joy, helping neighbors build connections.
