Managing chronic illness & stress
How posture impacts stress
Sound healing

“These hands-on sessions are designed to educate, engage, empower, and inspire attendees to take charge of their well-being,” described Expo Organizer Dr. Sachiko Komagata, an Associate Professor and Director of Integrative Health at Georgian Court. “The Expo gathers experts and practitioners spanning integrative healthcare, fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness to help members of the community explore practical tools for living healthier and more balanced lives.”

More than 50 vendors will be on hand to showcase wellness products, services, and resources. Animal lovers will also enjoy visiting with dogs and volunteers from Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, which trains dogs and their owners to become therapy dog teams, and K’s Kitten Rescue, a nonprofit organization devoted to rescuing and caring for vulnerable kittens while promoting responsible pet adoption in the community. K’s Kitten Rescue was founded by the late Dr. Louise Wootton, a professor and former Chair of the Department of Biology at Georgian Court University. The presence of these organizations adds a unique and compassionate element to the Expo and reflects the broader theme of wellness, connection, and community care.
A highlight of the Expo is the active involvement of Georgian Court University students and faculty from across a variety of disciplines, including Social Work, Exercise Science, Health Science, Health Profession Studies, and Nursing.

“Our students will help staff some booths, provide educational materials, and assist with health screenings,” said Dr. Komagata. “This is a wonderful opportunity for them to create a meaningful exchange between classroom learning and real-world community engagement.”
Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate in this day of connection, education, and inspiration while discovering new resources to support their wellness journey.
