Five to 10 years ago, the concept of personalized nutrition existed entirely around companies creating tailored vitamin packs.
Usher in 2026 where the personalized nutrition movement has evolved into a market where precision includes factoring in the latest technologies, including AI, to improve supplementation.
“I would say personalization 1.0 in the consumer space started around 2016,” Brown said. “It was largely driven by either direct consumer genetic tests or just a questionnaire or a combination of the two. The use of blood tests was a lot smaller, and the use of the microbiome or other omics-type technology was a lot smaller.”
Webinar attendees will gain insight into how science-backed supplements can complement GLP-1 protocols, how personalization improves adherence and results, and how brands and practitioners can responsibly innovate. As these medications reshape appetite, nutrient absorption and metabolic signaling, personalization becomes critical to supporting energy, muscle mass, micronutrient sufficiency and overall health outcomes.
The speakers will also discuss how targeted supplementation may help reduce medication side effects and examine whether emerging science is approaching a point where GLP-1 therapies can be offered with fewer downsides.
Additionally, 100 million Americans use wearable technology, providing a host of data that can be mined for precision health while leveling the playing field in personalization.
“I believe that there will be the next level of personalization coming out of weight loss and longevity that will remove it from it being the realm of the uber rich,” Voreades said. “You know, having your platelets completely taken out of your body and new ones put in will become democratized, which may be covered in my insurance, if insurance wants to keep people on longer. An algorithm determines that keeping people alive will make them more money.”
