WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The City of West Monroe is inviting the community to a Spring Youth Fitness Day at Highland Wetland Trails.

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 25 at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

According to organizers the event will take place during the Ouachita Parish School System’s Spring Break at the Highland Park Wetland Trails in the Otis Street parking lot.

The City of West Monroe is teaming up with other organizations including:

Event organizers say the morning will include visits with the West Monroe Police Department and West Monroe Fire Department and other fun activities. With volunteers on hand to demonstrate how to use new outdoor fitness equipment that was made possible by a grant from the Living Well Foundation.

This event is free and open to people of all ages. Children will be invited to play games, and attendees are encouraged to bring their bicycles or scooters to ride along the trail.
