March  is nutrition month in the USA.

WGEL recently talked with Maggie Nosic, nutrition educator and registered dietician with the St. Louis District Dairy Council.

She told us National Nutrition Month is observed each March and is led by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. It focuses on making informed food choices and understanding how nutrition supports overall health. This year’s theme, “Discover the Power of Nutrition,” highlights foods that provide energy and help people stay fueled throughout the day, including dairy. The month also serves as a checkpoint to revisit health goals and consider positive changes moving forward.
