Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, opened a 30,000-square-foot wellness facility as Naples area luxury hotels increasingly compete for guests seeking high-end spa, fitness and recovery offerings.

The new complex, called The Sanctuary, spans three levels and broadens the resort’s amenities with traditional spa services, advanced recovery treatments and a full-service fitness center. The investment reflects a wider shift among luxury operators to treat wellness as a central part of the guest experience rather than an add-on.

The facility includes 13 treatment rooms, three VIP suites and a 3,200-square-foot aquatherapy circuit built around thermal contrast. The circuit features a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, vitality pool and experience showers designed to move guests through alternating hot and cold environments.

Resort officials said the concept draws on Southwest Florida’s coastal setting and incorporates references to the Calusa, an Indigenous group with deep ties to the region’s waterways. Treatments are grouped into five themes — Ocean, Sky, Plant, Air and Heat — and range from massage and skin care to longer-form wellness programs.

The Sanctuary’s reception and retail area reflects a coastal-inspired aesthetic, part of a broader effort to elevate the guest wellness experience.

“The Sanctuary sets a new standard for wellness in Southwest Florida, blending deeply restorative rituals with some of the most advanced modern technology and therapies,” said Paul Nunez, director of spa, fitness and wellness. “As both a revitalizing retreat for resort guests and a true wellness home for the local Naples community, this new spa invites everyone to reset, reconnect, and thrive in rhythm with the sea.”

The spa also leans into emerging wellness technology. An Ammortal Chamber combines molecular hydrogen, vibro-acoustics and multiwave frequencies in what the resort describes as a “human recharging” experience. Other offerings include Margy’s Monte Carlo skin care products, LPG Endermologie treatments focused on body contouring and lymphatic support, and Pilates sessions using FRAME reformers.

Signature services include The Golden Ratio, a 100-minute massage that uses heated and cooled stones with guided breathwork, and the Ultimate Age Reversal facial, which incorporates microcurrent technology aimed at improving skin tone and firmness.

Sauna and thermal circuit anchor spa experience

The Sanctuary includes a thermal contrast circuit with sauna, steam room and cold plunge designed to enhance recovery and relaxation.

Fitness is positioned alongside spa services. A 24-hour indoor fitness center, developed with trainer Harley Pasternak, includes cardio, strength and functional training equipment, along with coaching and outdoor classes on the rooftop pool deck and elsewhere on the property.

The Sanctuary’s design, led by Champalimaud Design, uses natural materials such as rattan, coral stone and whitewashed wood. Arched ceilings and softly lit corridors are intended to create a residential feel that encourages guests to linger.

The spa is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is available to both hotel guests and the public, a strategy aimed at tapping Naples’ year-round affluent residents as well as seasonal visitors.
