Valley Wellness is taking its story to the screen with the launch of Dispensary Diaries, a new YouTube series featuring its behind-the-scenes adventures.
It pulls back the curtain on the real-life adventure of building and running one of New Jersey’s most successful independent cannabis dispensaries.
Valley Wellness was one of the first women-owned cannabis dispensaries to open in the state in December 2022 in Raritan Township in Somerset County in Central Jersey.
The series follows Valley’s owner, staff, and community as they navigate the highs (and yes, the occasional higher) moments of launching and growing a locally owned cannabis shop.
From licensing hurdles and last-minute construction chaos to building a team, expanding operations, experiencing record-breaking days, and helping customers find their perfect products, Dispensary Diaries offers viewers a candid, behind-the-scenes look at the heart, hustle, and hilarity behind a small cannabis business.
The Valley Wellness Dispensary YouTube Series
At the center of the story is Valley’s founder, CEO, Sarah Trent. She is a former badass public defender turned cannabis entrepreneur who traded the courtroom for the cannabis counter. Trent is determined to carve out her place in New Jersey’s fast-growing industry. She leads the team with grit, humor, and a healthy respect for the unpredictable nature of both law and cannabis.
Each episode features a mix of behind-the-scenes moments, staff stories, customer interactions, and insights into the rapidly evolving cannabis landscape in Jersey.
Viewers will meet the personalities behind the counter, experience the culture inside the shop, and see firsthand what it really takes to build a successful cannabis business from the ground up!
Expect real conversations, real challenges, and plenty of moments that prove the cannabis industry isn’t just about products. It’s about people and passion. And occasionally figuring things out five minutes before opening the doors!
Before opening Valley Wellness, Trent sought to foster cannabis education at Raritan Valley Community College, where she held job fairs, along with other colleges.
