BUFFALO, N.Y. — Women in all stages of their cancer journey came together Saturday to empower one another at Roswell Park’s Women’s Cancer Wellness Summit.

A panel of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center experts discussed topics from genetic screenings and clinical trials, to therapies and dietary nutrition.

Speakers said the goal is to empower women to live their best lives during and after treatment.

“We are not just a cancer center where people come in and get services, maybe surgery, or chemotherapy, or radiation therapy. But then, you know, we support people all the way through survivorship,” Dr. Tricia A. Numan, MD, told 2 On Your Side.

The event welcomed women with all cancer types who were treated anywhere, and not just Roswell Park.
