Families impacted by the devastating Eaton Fire are invited to a free afternoon of rest, renewal, and collective healing this Sunday at Arlington Garden.
The event, titled Holding Space With Hands in The Soil, will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on March 22. It is organized by Hands In The Soil (HITS), a family-founded nonprofit dedicated to cultivating holistic wellness and spiritual well-being through nature connection and community practice.
Sunday’s gathering is designed specifically as a wildfire wellness support event. It marks the first public Land Healing offering in a larger series of ceremonies that will continue privately for Altadena residents who lost their homes in the fire.
The afternoon will feature restorative activations led by experienced practitioners. Erica Rey and Yancy Comins (YD Nature) will guide participants through sound and somatics exercises, while Paul and Alma Livingstone of the Soul Force Project will lead a Raga Meditation and ceremony. Comins will also facilitate the building of a communal earth altar.
Other activities during the three-hour gathering will include movement exercises, grief circles, and opportunities for creative expression.
The event is free and open to all ages. Arlington Garden is located at 275 Arlington Dr. in Pasadena. Attendees are required to RSVP in advance through the Hands in the Soil website. For more information or to register, visit handsinthesoil.com or call 626-578-5434.
