Movement. Mindfulness. Calmness.
These are the guiding principles behind the new In Balance: A Jannik Sinner Ocean Wellness Programme, a concept that comes to life not through theory, but through experience.
During a sneak peek aboard EXPLORA II while docked in Miami, we were invited to step into the mindset of a professional athlete. Developed in collaboration with four-time Grand Slam champion Jannik Sinner, who also serves as Global Brand Ambassador for Explora Journeys, the program is less about tennis and more about the discipline behind it.

No Racket Required
Our session was led by Sinner’s coach, Darren Cahill, who explained the philosophy behind the program in a way that felt both accessible and impactful. What unfolded wasn’t an intense workout, but a carefully paced progression of movement designed to build awareness, balance and control.
The session began with light body movement to gently raise the heart rate, followed by a series of lower, core and upper body stretches. It concluded with guided breathing and meditation.
At its core, the program is about mindfulness and clarity. It’s about understanding the connection between movement and mental fortitude, and how simple, repeatable exercises can help establish a sense of calm and control. That philosophy—so critical in elite sport—is what Explora Journeys is translating into the guest experience.
“Jannik is a special player. All these guys at the top of the world rankings are special players. The difference that separates them a lot of the time is the calm that they have,” said Cahill. “The ability to make strong decisions in the pressure moments—and you’ll see the difference between certain athletes and certain tennis players that, when the pressure is on, they’re not making good decisions, because they’re a little bit emotional. And Jannik gives a lot of calm.”
That sense of calm is exactly what the sessions aim to recreate—a different dimension of wellbeing at sea—one that goes beyond the traditional spa experience and taps into something more intentional.
“So, what we’re looking to do here is make sure that when your heart rate is down, and when you have real calm about what you’re doing, then your decision making is better—in sport, and hopefully in life as well,” Cahill continued.
From Elite Training to Ocean Wellness
Rooted in Explora Journeys’ Ocean Wellness philosophy, the program is built around four pillars:
Train, with personalized sessions focused on precision, control and balanced performance
Re-centre, through guided breathwork to support clarity and regulate the nervous system
Restore, with therapeutic treatments designed to release tension and promote deep relaxation
Renew, a thermal spa experience that uses hot and cold therapies to stimulate circulation and recovery
Each element is designed to anchor guests in the present moment—extending that “Ocean State of Mind” well beyond the voyage itself. This is not passive wellness—it’s participatory, purposeful and rooted in the mindset of a world-class athlete.
The program will also take center stage aboard EXPLORA III during its Mediterranean Prelude Journey from July 24–29, 2026, where Sinner himself will join guests for a series of onboard experiences, including Q&A sessions, wellness programming and a charity gala.
In Balance: A Jannik Sinner Ocean Wellness Programme is now open for reservations and will roll out fleetwide beginning April 24 on EXPLORA I and May 18 on EXPLORA II.
