One minute review of A313 Vitamin A Retinol Pommade
Is this a safe space? Because as a beauty editor I have to confess something almost shocking: I’ve always been a little nervous around retinol. I know there are often amazing promised results, but with skin that’s reactive and sensitive I’ve had to be cautious and gentle in my approach.
But! That makes me a great tester for this particular product. Turns out A313 is the perfect entrypoint for anyone similar thanks to its gentle retinol form.
After a particularly stressful period, my skin has been looking despairingly dull, lifeless and I’ve never been more aware of my pores.
A313’s texture is thicker than expected, sitting somewhere between a balm and Vaseline ointment. Online reviews show it can be divisive but I personally love it. The thickness allows it to lock in moisture and get the ingredients soaking in properly.
I did have to dig to find instructions on how much to use – a small, pea-sized amount is enough – which I worked into the skin. I started with my face, but you can use it across your neck and down to your decolletage. (In fact, it’s encouraged!)
