Stevi Bundy, center, director of the Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy centers in Perry and Woodward, is welcomed by Perry Lions Club member Don Ruggle, left, and Lions Club President John Andorf.

The Perry Lions Club heard an interesting presentation this week from Stevi Bundy, director of the Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy centers in Perry and Woodward.

Lions Club member Don Ruggle invited Bundy to discuss the programs at the mental-health facilities, including the crisis-stabilization services available to adults and adolescents in Dallas County and some of the surrounding counties.

Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy offers inpatient and outpatient therapy, medication management, substance abuse evaluation and treatment for substance abuse in adults and adolescents, Bundy said. The crisis stabilization unit is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and there is also a mobile crisis unit.

The staff also teams with the police and the courts in assisting people who need mental health assistance, ensuring they receive timely support and appropriate interventions during crises.

Bundy said the clinic accepts Medicaid, a federally funded program that provides health coverage for low-income individuals, along with the three Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and some private insurance plans.

The Perry unit works with adolescents, and the Woodward facility is for adults. The Perry clinic address is 410 Twelfth Street and the Woodward Unit is located at 706 Cedar Street. The outpatient clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
