A worker was injured Wednesday morning in an industrial accident at the Kent Nutrition plant in Altoona.Emergency crews responded around 10:26 a.m. to reports of a worker hurt at an elevated height. Upon arrival, firefighters found an adult male performing contractor work inside machinery about 50 feet above the ground and began a complex rescue operation.The worker was successfully extricated and lowered to the ground before being airlifted by MercyOne Air Med to a local trauma center.
