If you’re a regular buyer of protein powder, you will have noticed many brands and supplements have been bumping up their prices over the last year or two due to the radical increase in demand, and in turn, price. The cost of whey has simply skyrocketed, bringing down the available room for companies to move and make money, which is made even tougher, as this particular type of nutrition product is already tight on margins.
Many supplement companies have shuffled their pricing around without making too much noise, although in its traditional, transparent style, Jim Stoppani’s Jym Supplement Science has come out and outlined the changes it’s made. Due to the explosive rise in the cost of whey-based protein powders, the 22-serving bag of Pro Jym is going from $39.99 to $44.99, and the double-sized 45-serving bag from $65.99 to $74.99.
Pro Jym isn’t the only protein powder that’s getting a bump in price, with Jym Supplement Science also planning to push up its clear and refreshing ISO Jym by a similar amount from $34.99 to $39.99 for its lone 20-serving tub size. The brand from the legendary Jim Stoppani will be making the adjustments sometime in the near future, but until then, if you go over to Jym’s website, you can still get those original costs.
