At the booth, IBN showcased new clinical findings on its award-winning lemon flavonoid blend, Eriomin, now supported by four published trials demonstrating benefits for blood glucose, GLP-1, antioxidant activity, and inflammation. “This groundbreaking 26-week double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled crossover trial published in Frontiers in Nutrition demonstrated that adding a citrus flavonoid nutraceutical to metformin therapy significantly improves glycemic control, metabolic markers, and antioxidant status,” says Brewster. “Frequently there are concerns that medications or supplements might adversely impact each other, when taken in conjunction. This study may offer assurances that no adverse interactions were seen, when taken by otherwise healthy but metabolically sensitive individuals. Metformin is often prescribed due to its low cost and efficacy, as a prophylactic glucose management treatment, to at risk populations. This represents Ingredients By Nature’s first move into the practitioner channels and doctor managed online pharmacies, portending future Eriomin formulations in physician recommended dietary supplement and medical foods.” (Learn more about the science and opportunities: The Longevity of Citrus Flavonoids.)

Ixoreal Biomed introduced its second flagship ingredient, SRI-81 Shatavari root extract, at the show. Eight years of development went into this clinically validated, organic certified, root-only extract, which is the company’s offering to the largely underserved women’s wellness space. The standardized, clinically validated extract was developed using the foundations of green chemistry.  The “Queen of Herbs,” Shatavari has a long history of supporting women’s hormonal balance, lactation, reproductive health, menopause support, and overall well-being. SRI-81 Shatavari is backed by 10 clinical studies focused on key areas of women’s health including perimenopause, menopause, sexual function, lactation support, and hormonal balance. Read up on the science in New Research: Shatavari Root Provides Reproductive Support for Women.

Shatavari has been cultivated on lxoreal’s own certified organic farms. With a strong focus on soil health, traceability and sustainable practices, the company has applied the same sustainability practices of Ixoreal’s flagship ashwagandha ingredient, KSM-66, to its latest offering, doing right by its farmers and the land they work. Researchers reported significant improvements across menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes, menstrual discomfort, and overall quality of life, along with positive effects on vasomotor symptoms and hormonal dysregulation. The study also found significant increases in ovarian follicle count in both treatment arms, dose-dependent modulation of four hormones (FSH, LH, AMH, and 17β-estradiol), and improvements in skin and hair quality, with safety and tolerability maintained throughout the study period.
Waleria Healthtech showcased results from two gold-standard clinical trials on aspurūs, its patent-pending Shatavari extract. Dietary composition, sleep quality, or minor infections can also contribute to inflammatory variability. Four weeks of tart cherry extract supplementation decreased plasma urate by an average of 37% compared to baseline, and CRP levels were reduced by 23%, indicating a decrease in low-grade systemic inflammation in generally healthy individuals.
