About Body be Well Pilates
Body Be Well Pilates has been part of the Hudson Valley wellness community for nearly 17 years. Founder Chelsea Streifeneder, a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, holistic nutrition professional, and published author, built the studio from the ground up, and it’s now three locations strong: Red Hook, Catskill, and Coxsackie (yes, including a studio right inside the James Newbury Hotel).
What makes Body Be Well different from the start is that these aren’t reformer-only rooms. Every studio is fully stocked with professional Pilates apparatus, reformers, Cadillac/tower, chair, mat,barrels, arcs, jump boards, and every instructor is trained across all of it. The teaching philosophy is rooted in safety, education, and real Pilates. It’s a place where anyone of all ages and levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, can show up exactly as they are and feel welcomed and supported.

At Body Be Well, there’s something for everyone. Group classes cover reformer, Cadillac/tower, chair, and mat, with private and semi-private sessions available for more specific goals, including rehab, athletic training, or general wellness. Pilates parties are also available and super fun where people can book the whole studio for their group and request a certain class, make their own playlist, and workout with their friends.

Beyond the studio floor, Body Be Well operates as a full education hub. Chelsea co-created a comprehensive in-person Pilates certification program, an Equipment Maintenance Online Training Certification, a course teaching instructors how to maintain and actually fix Pilates equipment, running on April 13th and September 14th this year. Part of the Body Be Well culture is that instructors keep learning year after year. This means that students get the benefit of consistent and consistently improving teachers.


The Reformer Retreat: July 17th–19th
The retreat brings all of everything together in one weekend. Hosted at the James Newbury Hotel with Hudson River views, the programming includes reformer sessions, full-apparatus workouts, and hands-on workshops built to challenge both the brain and body and give participants the tools to use at home.
