Jimmy Fallon revealed the one cabinet member who has “immunity to President Donald Trump’s “firing spree” – Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr. – after opening his show with the “news” that Pam Bondi had been ousted from the Justice Department.

On Thursday Bondi became the second cabinet official to be fired by the president, who took to Truth Social to make the announcement. He wrote that Bondi would be leaving government for a private sector role, calling her “a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend.”

Bondi’s tenure at the Justice Department had been overshadowed by her handling of investigations and document releases linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The move came just days after Trump fired Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

During his opening monologue on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show, Fallon mocked Bondi.

“Before we get to the show, let’s get to some news first. Everybody’s talking about this. Today, President Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi,” he said, to cheers from the audience.

“The hardest thing about getting fired by Trump is pretending to be sad when he tells you, you know?” the host cracked.

“Of course, being fired by Trump is never fun. Kristi Noem was like, ‘True, but things can definitely get worse, so –’” he added, with a dig at news reports that emerged after her firing alleging Noem’s husband is a secret crossdresser with a bizarre fetish.

Fallon continued: “Meanwhile, when Trump realized he fired the woman with access to all the Epstein files, he was like, ‘Oh, crap! Uh, Pam, you’re not fired. You’re redacted.’”

“Apparently, Trump was also upset that Bondi didn’t go after his enemies…” he said, following: “Bondi was like, ‘So you want me to arrest NATO, Bruce Springsteen, and the ice-cream machine at McDonald’s?’ He’s like, ‘It never works! It never works!’

Concluding, he said: “Yep, Trump’s on a bit of a firing spree. First Kristi Noem, then Pam Bondi. Ironically, the only staffer who has immunity is RFK Jr.”

“Isn’t that weird?” he joked, smiling, as the audience cheered. “Interesting, right? If you think about it.”
