Beauty enthusiasts, get ready to open up your wallets. An Ulta Beauty store is coming to the Twin City Plaza in Crystal City.
Laura Jones of R.L. Jones Properties, which owns the shopping center property, said her company is renovating 10,000 square feet of space at 147 Twin City Plaza for the Ulta Beauty store.
Jones said the renovations will include a new façade, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing renovations, and the space will then be finished by Ulta Beauty, according to their prototype plans.
The store will be located between the Five Below and Marshalls stores, at the former site of the Kmart store. Jones said the space has been vacant for four years.
Jones said the store is expected to open in the fall of 2026.
Ulta Beauty, a chain of cosmetic stores headquartered in Bolingbrook, Ill., carries cosmetics, fragrances, nail products, hair products, bath and body products, and beauty tools. Jones said the Crystal City location will have a salon as well as the retail space.
Jones said she is excited to be able to bring Ulta Beaty to the Twin Cities.
“Bringing Ulta Beauty to Crystal City is an exciting milestone for our community. This project reflects our continued commitment to attracting high-quality retailers that create jobs, generate sales tax revenue and enhance the overall shopping experience,” Jones said.
Jones said R.L. Jones Properties is also in talks with several other national retailers to backfill the former Joann and Rue21 spaces.
“More exciting announcements are to come,” she said.
