Saturday, April 11, will be FAMIY FEUD!! The event will run 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Get your team ready, choose a name, and be ready to compete! Teams may not exceed six players, but can certainly be less. We had one man tell us that he would be a one-man team, and that he would do great as long as we surveyed the right 100 people for the answers! Ha! I would not recommend a one-man team. What’s the fun in that? Also, help us get the word out! We want to have as large a crowd as we had for Night Bingo the last time. We had a packed house and it was awesome! There will be concession foods and drinks available throughout the evening, as always. We will have an extra offering of hor d’oeuvres trays. So come hungry!
April 21 will be our next monthly Board Meeting, at 1:00 p.m. We invite you to mark your calendar and plan to attend if you are interested in the Nutrition Center. We presently have all ladies on the Board, but we certainly invite gentlemen to attend or be a part of us. There used to be men on the Board, but they have phased out. We need to come up with some different and innovative ideas for fundraisers. I know everyone likes the Bingo, Family Feud, and Trivia, but there are other things that we could do. We need your input of ideas.
Legacy Hospice will be back with us once again on Wednesday, April 22 for BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS. We have missed Becky coming and are excited to have her scheduled to return. Be sure to stop by and see Becky for your blood pressure check, and sign up for the drawing that she will have. Becky will be coming on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 10:30 a.m.
FOOT CLINIC will return on Thursday, April 23, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon. Cathy from Riverways Manor will be conducting the clinic, and she does a fabulous job. If you would like to be seen, please call the Center at 573-998-2544 to get your name on the appointment list. You will not be disappointed. I have heard many good things about Cathy’s service since she started two months ago. This is a free service for our seniors. We certainly appreciate Riverways Manor allowing Cathy to come and take care of our seniors. Be sure to thank Cathy.
Friday, April 24, will be our next BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. We will have cake and ice cream to celebrate those who have a birthday in the month of April.
Don’t forget that the BLESSING BOX is available 24/7. If you have a need, come visit the box and take what you need. If you like to donate to the box, keep in mind that the containers must be sealed. We cannot allow opened items to remain in the Box. We do appreciate those who assist us in putting items in for others to take out.
