ENCINITAS, CA — A new wellness café has opened its doors in Encinitas.
Juice Holler opened late March along South Coast Highway 101, offering a menu of beverages and health-focused fare aimed at fostering community and connection in North County.
Founded by Encinitas resident Kelly Sergott, the café features cold-pressed juices, smoothies, lattes, wellness shots, and grab-and-go foods made with organic, all-natural ingredients free from refined sugars and seed oils.
Sergott said the concept draws inspiration from her upbringing in rural Kentucky, where a “holler” refers to a close-knit community.
“In Appalachian culture, a holler represents a shared landscape,” Sergott said. “That idea of connectivity and
togetherness has always resonated with me. I wanted Juice Holler to feel like a place people naturally return to — not just for what’s on the menu, but for how it makes them feel.”

The café marks Sergott’s first venture into hospitality after a career in corporate events and trade shows. A mother of three, she said the idea grew from her own experience seeking convenient, nutritious options while balancing a busy lifestyle.

The approximately 1,300-square-foot space includes indoor seating, communal tables, free Wi-Fi and street-side patio seating.
Future plans include rotating seasonal specials, limited-time menu collaborations, expanded local product
offerings in the grab-and-go cooler, and a healthy waffle bar concept, according to Sergott.
Beyond the menu, Sergott said she envisions Juice Holler as a “third space” for the community, with plans for future programming such as artisan pop-ups, wellness workshops,
social club meetups, and other collaborations with local businesses.
Juice Holler is located at 820 South Coast Highway 101. The shop is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
