CATAWBA – The Ottawa County Safety Council will host a TRU Safety Conference on Wednesday, May 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Catawba Island Club. TRU stands for Teach, Review, and Understand safety, which includes personal safety, workplace incidents, cybersecurity, and more. The purpose of the conference is to address accident prevention in the workplace and raise awareness among employees for a healthier safety culture.

The TRU safety conference is open to safety council members and the public. It will feature a variety of speakers who will discuss issues such as psychological safety, incident reporting, personal wellness, and the aging workforce.

Cost for the conference is $10 for Ottawa County Safety Council members and $40 for nonmembers. Registration ends on May 1. Register at https://ocic.org/TRU/.
