Zendaya’s ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Premiere Look Reveals the 1 Makeup Rule She Always Follows

When it comes to red carpet dressing, Zendaya always understands the assignment. Take her tennis-inspired ensembles for Challengers, her bridal outfits for The Drama, and the all-sepia look for last night’s Euphoria season 3 premiere, which matched the desert landscapes from this season’s upcoming episodes. While the actress’s outfits are the star of the show, there’s one makeup rule she follows that ties them all together: She almost always matches her glam to her clothing.

For most celebrities, red carpet makeup is an opportunity to enhance their features, and many embrace neutrals or classic glamour. But for Zendaya, glam is an extension of her overall look. Case in point: Last night, she chose to keep the monochromatic vibe of her brown dress and shoes going with a bronzy, sepia smoky eye and chestnut-lined lips.

This isn’t the first time she’s made sure her makeup and clothes correspond. For the New York premiere of The Drama, her dark blue feathered gown paired with metallic sapphire eyes, and one of her best makeup looks of all time—the pale pink eyeshadow at the 2023 SAG Awards—was the exact same shade as her strapless dress.

For the Euphoria premiere, makeup artist Ernesto Casillas used the Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Palette of Beautifying Eye Trends in Sensual Sunset all over the lid and under the eyes for a bronzy base, then lined her eyes with the Charlotte Tilbury Rock ’N’ Kohl in Bedroom Black around the waterline. He smoked out the look even further with the Rock ’N’ Kohl in Smokey Bronze. Casillas then lined her lips with the brand’s Lip Cheat in Foxy Brown and added dimension by filling them in with Pillow Talk Blush Balm Lip Tint in Pillow Talk.
