The Indian opener made a brisk impact against RCB, scoring 19 off 13 deliveries before being retired hurt. MI went on to lose the match by 18 runs.
Rohit Sharma is expected to undergo scans to comprehend the severity of his injured right hamstring, as per Cricbuzz. The report added that Rohit Sharma’s status for MI’s upcoming tie against PBKS remains in question, as it will depend on the scan results.
Notably, the Mumbai Indians’ physio had attended to Rohit before the first delivery of the sixth over during the Sunday game. He managed to face the second delivery off Rasikh Salam before eventually walking off the field after retiring hurt.
Rohit’s hamstring injury was confirmed by Sherfane Rutherford during the press conference. “I’m not entirely sure yet – perhaps it’s a bit of a hamstring issue – but I can’t say for certain. I was in the dugout, so I don’t have much information on it.”
