…FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR
THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY…

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.

* WHEN…Until 600 PM HST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 343 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over central Oahu
and parts of windward Oahu. The heaviest rain was falling
near Mililani where 2 inches of rain has fallen. Rain rates
are starting to decrease but the band of heavy rain remains
nearly stationary stretching from Mililani to Punaluu with
rates of up to 1.5 inches per hour. Additional heavy showers
are starting to develop near the Koolau mountain range.

Waipio, Wahiawa, Mililani, Wheeler Field, Schofield Barracks,
Pearl City, Waikane, Waikele, Waiahole, Kunia, Punaluu,
Waipahu, Aiea, Hauula, Kaaawa, Kahaluu, Halawa, Laie, Salt
Lake and Waialua.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.
