Courteney Cox rose to fame playing everyone’s favorite neat freak, Monica Geller, on Friends, so when she launched Homecourt, her line of luxury home and body care products, it felt like she was bringing her beloved character to life as a brand. What makes Homecourt unique is it elevates home care and cleaning products through the lens of beauty.
“During lockdown, with so much time at home, I was looking around and thinking there was a void in the market,” Courteney tells Good Housekeeping. “There was no product that I knew of that looked beautiful on your counter, that you didn’t have to hide underneath the sink, that really worked, that was safe, but worked for pets and people, and that smelled like something that you’d want to smell all the time. Homecourt smells like a fine fragrance because it actually is made by real perfumeries.”
It wasn’t just Homecourt that took up Courteney’s time during the pandemic—she also leaned into her musical hobbies of playing the piano and drums. “If you have a musical talent, please feel free to start playing,” she says. “Drumming is something I haven’t done my whole life. It’s good for my brain. It’s when I can really shut off and I have to focus. It’s a challenge. I have a lot of hobbies and they keep me going.”
She took a break from wrapping up her upcoming true crime flick that she’s directing, Evil Genius, to tell Good Housekeeping what she always has in stock. Starting with her home and body care picks, of course, we chatted with Courteney about her go-to earplugs that ensure a good snooze, her favorite suitcase that helps her maintain her carry-on only jet-set style, and so much more.
Made with super-fine volcanic pumice to gently exfoliate and organic rosella extract to hydrate for up to 24 hours, it took two years to nail the formula. “It’s something that I wish I’d been using for years and years and years,” Courteney says. “I don’t think we spend enough time thinking about our hands. Everyone should be wearing gloves, or at least sunscreen on your hands. I play tennis, and I use my hands so much, whether it’s playing the piano or drumming or picking things out of my garden. It actually makes other products work better. When you exfoliate your hands, that’s what makes our hand cream absorb better into your skin. It exfoliates but doesn’t strip your skin and leaves your hands feeling really moisturized at the same time, which is unique.”
“I can’t live without an eyelash curler—that’s key,” Courteney says. “For some reason, it just changes your whole look when you have your eyelashes curled. I do it before mascara, but sometimes I might do a little freshen up after mascara.”
“You can put it on all day and you feel refreshed,” Courteney says. “And I’m obsessed with that scent right now.” The fine fragrance spray features notes of coconut water, cedarwood, vetiver, sweet cardamom, and black pepper.
“I’m really into their facial wash,” Courteney shares. “It’s [in a] glass [bottle] and it’s beautiful. Sometimes milky things don’t feel like they’re cleaning my skin as much as I want it to, but this does. It’s one of my favorite things right now.”

“I never check luggage,” Courteney says. “If you check luggage and you’re with me, you are dead weight to me and I cannot deal with you. In the winter, I could go to a ski place and still only have a carry-on. It’s one of those expanding Tumi’s. I will pack that thing like you wouldn’t believe. I know how to do it; I’m just an efficient packer.”
“My new thing is rice, so I have the Green Pan rice maker, and I’m now a rice girl,” Courteney says. “I make this chicken curry, and I put it on rice, and also I do stir fries.”
“I can’t live without my Duxiana Travel Pillow,” Courteney says. “I have four of them. I travel with it, but I have two that are always on my bed. That’s one of my big obsessions. I don’t like to sleep without it.” It comes with a travel case and a white cotton sateen pillowcase, and the 100% cotton cover is filled with hypoallergenic white goose down.

“I have to sleep with earplugs,” she shares. “I’m little high maintenance when it comes to sleep. I can hear everything so well—I just want to block out most of the noise. Don’t give me any twisty foam ones—those don’t expand enough to block out the sound.”
“I love to light candles,” Courteney says. “I always light a CeCe candle. Or I love Balsam Fireplace, even if only comes out once a year—it comes out more in my house. It makes me feel cozy—a candle, good lighting, a true crime doc. True crime is my thing.”
“I love SPRWMN sweats,” Courteney says. “I’ve got their hoodies and I love their pants. I’m actually wearing them right now.”
