Balanced Fitness & Health has expanded its services to offer Corridor employers an integrated workforce health program the Cedar Rapids-based clinic is calling a “hire-to-retire” solution.

The expanded lineup combines drug and alcohol testing — including DOT and non-DOT drug screening and breath alcohol testing — with DOT and pre-employment physicals, ergonomics, workplace stretching programs, early injury intervention and physical therapy within a single coordinated system.

Caley Ploessl, clinic manager of Balanced Fitness & Health, said the model is designed to address a challenge common among employers managing workforce health, safety and compliance across multiple vendors.

“Too often, companies must coordinate multiple providers, which can lead to delays, miscommunication, and higher costs,” Ms. Ploessl said. “We’ve created a streamlined model that simplifies this process while improving outcomes for both employers and employees.”

Many of the services are also available onsite, according to the clinic.

Balanced Fitness & Health cited growth in construction, manufacturing and transportation as driving demand for scalable workforce health solutions across the Corridor.

The clinic is locally owned and specializes in physical therapy, injury prevention and workforce health services for employers in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area.
