Meghan Markle made a speedy visit to a women’s wellness retreat she was paid to attend.

On Friday, April 17, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, went to the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach resort for a “Girl’s Weekend” retreat hosted by the Her Best Life podcast.

The event started at 5:00 p.m., and the With Love, Meghan star and her husband, Prince Harry, left two hours later, at 7:00 p.m., according to an April 17 report in the Daily Mail. The couple got into a Range Rover with private bodyguards and headed to a rugby match in Sydney, where they watched the NSW Waratahs and Moana Pasifika play from the VIP section, per the outlet.

The Daily Mail reported that the As Ever founder “will reportedly net up to £130,000,” which equates to about $175,000 for her brief appearance at the retreat. Meanwhile, guests paid $2,699 for a standard ticket and $3,199 for the VIP experience according to the Her Best Life website.

The “Girl’s Weekend” includes the hotel stay, gala dinner, therapy session, meditation, yoga, sound healing, and more. The website states that “The highlight of the weekend will be an in-person conversation” with Meghan.

As In Touch previously reported, guests who paid for the VIP experience were able to take a group photo with the Suits alum, per the Daily Mail.

However, according to an itinerary obtained by the Daily Mail, there was a “strict no phones, no recording moment for the duration of the interview with Meghan.

Earlier this month, the retreat faced criticism after journalist Ariana Pezeshki published a 7News Australia article revealing that the team behind the event refunded her ticket when they found out she worked in the media, despite her insisting she hadn’t requested any press access.
